Designed for children aged 1 to 12, the playground is described by Buckhurst Hill Parish Council as “a haven of creativity and fun for all ages and abilities.” The design pays tribute to the natural beauty of its open space location near Newton Close. Central features include climbing structures, a roundabout, and dynamic swings. The space is now perfect for children to enjoy independently or play together.
The site is now a central feature of the local community play area at Buckhurst Hill. The development project transformed the previously neglected area of the recreation ground into a dynamic, exciting space for all ages. The design elements of the playground were important for the local community and stakeholders for the recreation ground. Therefore, Proludic took care to provide a range of options for the layout and features of the playground. We also communicated the progress and any issues encountered throughout the project.
The local natural beauty is translated into fun with rainforest themed Kanopé play structure complete with see-through window panels, large slides, and climbing apparatus. Additionally, the Proludic team installed wooden play equipment from the origin play range. This provides a variety of play experiences and materials to help the playground stand out and create a unique experience for the local community.
