Designed for children aged 1 to 12, the playground is described by Buckhurst Hill Parish Council as “a haven of creativity and fun for all ages and abilities.” The design pays tribute to the natural beauty of its open space location near Newton Close. Central features include climbing structures, a roundabout, and dynamic swings. The space is now perfect for children to enjoy independently or play together.

The site is now a central feature of the local community play area at Buckhurst Hill. The development project transformed the previously neglected area of the recreation ground into a dynamic, exciting space for all ages. The design elements of the playground were important for the local community and stakeholders for the recreation ground. Therefore, Proludic took care to provide a range of options for the layout and features of the playground. We also communicated the progress and any issues encountered throughout the project.

The local natural beauty is translated into fun with rainforest themed Kanopé play structure complete with see-through window panels, large slides, and climbing apparatus. Additionally, the Proludic team installed wooden play equipment from the origin play range. This provides a variety of play experiences and materials to help the playground stand out and create a unique experience for the local community.

Creating a fully inclusive play space for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) in Norfolk was a sensitive yet rewarding project. The project goals were to provide a safe, accessible, and joyful environment for children with various, often terminal, illnesses.

The site, previously undeveloped and sloped, required careful grading to ensure accessibility and safety. Proludic’s team designed and installed inclusive play equipment for the children to enjoy. At the same time, a landscape architecture firm developed the master plan. The inclusive play project design incorporated tactile and sensory elements, sloping pathways, and moving components to cater to children of all abilities.

Additionally, community involvement, including feedback from the resident children, was crucial in ensuring the space met diverse needs. Funded by hospice patrons and local businesses, the project resulted in a state-of-the-art play area that offers respite and joy. Ultimately the new playground for The Nook Children’s Hospice EACH’s vision and positively impacting the community.

Located two miles from the River Thames, the Clapham Common play area is a popular open space in south London. The project brief was to transform the old, dated children’s play area into a vibrant space for local families and their children so they can benefit from a fully inclusive, innovative play experience that caters to all ages and abilities using durable materials.

The innovative playground design proposed by Proudic achieved a Gold PIPA (Plan Inclusive Play Areas) award, which is a first in the London Borough of Lambeth. The design included a train with a station hut ideal for role play and a sensory sound area. Children can wander around the playground and encounter a giant ladybird and rainbow on the sensory pathways constructed from different materials to create an engaging play journey.

Three large Multiplay Units were selected, along with various swings specifically intended to accommodate the high footfall of visitors aged from toddler, junior through to teenagers ensuring they can play together.
