Project Story: MCI Developments, a leading UK housebuilder, tasked us with providing a high-quality LEAP play provision for their affordable housing scheme, aiming to enhance community vibrancy and resident wellbeing. Competitively tendering for the architects’ design, our Proludic team exceeded play value expectations, emphasising durability and user satisfaction. We made minor adjustments, like integrating street furniture for safety, to enhance the design.
The development’s location in Shavington village necessitated careful logistics planning to ensure safety and minimize disruptions during delivery and installation. Our design featured elephant-shaped wetpour beneath the focal multiplay unit, adding imaginative play value inspired by the nearby watering hole The Elephant Public House. Proludic’s cost-effective yet durable equipment met commercial budget constraints without compromising quality.

The new park boasts a rotating Spinning Bowl (J2411), an inclusive Metal Pod Swing (J441) accommodating up to 5 users, and challenging Senior Horizontal Bars (JPS19-S-M), fostering physical activity and development. The adorable Puppy Springer (J855) and imposing Diabolo MPU (J3834) further enrich the play experience, captivating children’s imaginations. Overcoming logistical challenges posed by the play area’s size and location, we collaborated closely with subcontractors to ensure resident safety and site logistics management.

Through effective project management and collaboration, our team delivered a high-quality play provision that surpassed the client’s expectations, enriching the lives of affordable housing residents and fostering a vibrant community for years to come.
