Proludic is innovating how children interact with playground sand pits with The Sand Factory. The trail-like design of the sand moving equipment resembles a small factory equipped with several activity centres that help children discover how to handle and model with sand.
The Sand Factory uses play and fun to allow children to learn while stimulating the senses of the youngest users. Traditional sand games like sandcastle or model building are available in the sand pit. However, the inclusion of more unusual sand moving equipment like diggers and winches enables a greater variety of play.
Children can unleash their imagination as they make their way through the factory playground sand pit with different sensory activities.
Sand play accessories to enhance coordination and agility include excavators, carts, conveyor belts, cranes and chutes. Meanwhile, children can engage their fine motor skills, creativity and concentration with the sieve, embosser, foundry, moulding wheel and scales.
The Factory trail links each piece of the sand playground activity centre together, encouraging teamwork and collaboration to play with sand in an organised fashion. Children can explore the unique sensory experience of playground sand pits by extracting, pouring, flattening, moulding, sculpting and transporting material.
