The client brief was to create a bespoke destination park with a ‘wow’ factor. This site is also intended to act as a showcase site for the Airplay project.
Officially opened by Prime Minister David Cameron, Proludic transformed Faulder Avenue play park into a bright and welcoming outdoor play area that brings together the entire community. Proludic created a custom-made play structure based on the Hercules plane with a 16-meter wingspan as a focal point. This unique item contains a fantastic range of inclusive play features. Accessible equipment for Proludic includes a pod swing, wheelchair-accessible cockpit, slides and sensory play panels.
The playground is a testament to our great community because not only will it make a positive difference to many children and parents, but it will also help to build even stronger bonds between military and civilian families.
David Cameron, Prime Minister
The Airplay project is something that I whole-heartedly support and I would like to personally thank the RAF Benevolent Fund and Community Covenant for making this possible. The playground is a testament to our great community because, not only will it make a positive difference to many children and parents, it will help build even stronger bonds between military and civilian families.
David Cameron, Former Prime Minister
