Due to the continued growth and success, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a creative thinker, to play an integral role in our dynamic Design department.

We are seeking a passionate, focused, and skilled Designer (in 2D and 3D) with a proven track record of creating high-quality, design-led submissions for play and sports areas.

About The Opportunity:

The role of Play Space Designer will involve working closely with other departments and customers alike to plan and deliver creative 3D visualisations and associated costings / technical drawings for projects, which push the boundaries of what is achievable to help deliver success. You will be required to take ownership of such projects and work closely with the sales team to interpret the client’s brief in the best way possible.

Although it is not essential, the ideal candidate will have proven experience within the playground industry, up-to-date knowledge of 3D software, a professional approach to time management, costs, and the ability to meet deadlines by staying organised and being highly competent at managing their own workload independently.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work to a brief agreed with the client and Area Manager to produce a successful CAD and 3D presentation, liaising with the sales team, bid writers, and clients when appropriate.
  • Develop creative ideas and concepts, choosing the appropriate media and style to meet the client’s objectives.
  • Produce accurate costing through our CRM system and cross-check your own work against the CAD that you have produced.
  • Research local areas to develop unique design ideas, ensuring the design provided is relevant to the area and provides a unique selling point.
  • Provide constructive critiques of colleagues’ work when required, to ensure the project retains the Proludic brand and is of high quality, practical, commercial, and above all, engaging. 
  • Liaise with the Design Manager on a regular basis, on the day-to-day running of the department, and to discuss the implementation of any new design procedures and software.
  • Visit regional prospects and clients to conduct site surveys, attend group meetings and deliver presentations.
  • Research and, where necessary implement new software and procedures to maximise efficiency and retain market leader status. 

Hours of work
Full-time, 36 hours per week.
